My name is Brigette Kelly and I am a multimedia journalist and anchor. I have interned with WWBT-NBC12, where I was able to further my education and my professional broadcast journalism experience. One of my packages, “Beating the Heat at the James River” aired on sister-station, Fox Richmond. 

Currently I am a multimedia journalist and anchor for VCU InSight, a student-run weekly newscast that airs on YouTube. I am able to implement everything I have learned throughout prior classes at VCU and my internship with NBC12 into real practice. 

My major is in mass communications with a focus in broadcast journalism and a minor in general business. My graduation date is set for May 2024. 

I grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and being a newscaster has been my dream since I was a little girl. My time in college has been extremely rewarding, I’ve learned just how much I enjoy reporting and engaging with my community.
